GroomBlog: Kick back and relax

Once, Twice, Three Times a Lady

I've been so busy planning this wedding I have barely had time to work, which could quite possibly explain the way my boss has been eyeing me lately...turns out Marketing and weddings don't mix too well. Go figure. So this week I have promised myself that I will throw myself into my job and leave the wedding planning for the weekend.

Except for my lunch meeting with Emily (MOH) and my 5 bridesmaids to discuss colors and styles of dresses today at 1. Couldn't cancel that, I need to get a handle on what they would like, what they feel comfortable wearing, and what will ensure that they walk down that aisle looking stunning.

Speaking of which, I'd like to share with you something horrifying: I read a story about an awful Bridezilla who asked only people that she knew who were overweight to be her attendants, because she felt that it would make her look better in comparison. Not only that, but she made them all wear skin-tight, strapless dresses.

If I hadn't found it so cruel, I would have almost laughed at that particular bride's way of thinking. How much more delusional can you get?

I want my bridesmaids to look gorgeous. I want them all to feel confident and lovely as they saunter down on the arms of my fiance's groomsmen with their new groomsmen gifts of cufflinks. I've never been a bridesmaid, and hearing horror stories like that particular doozy makes me want to tip the scales a bit.
I just hope they all like pink. :)
